With the third lockdown, here at Amber Court we decided to focus on our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing throughout January. We have had discussions and collated leaflets for our Residents with topics to encourage how to stay healthy whilst shielding. With suggestions such as drinking plenty of water, getting enough sleep and making sure we take time out to focus on ourselves. With muted Christmas and New Years celebrations for many it has been more important than ever to encourage keeping in touch with our Friends and families.

Some of our clients have even taken part in video calls with other members of the community, through Newham’s Time to Talk scheme.

We have encouraged one resident at Amber Court to take part in a poetry project, where they spoke to students about their experiences with nature. Their answers will then be turned in to poems created by the students, which we are looking forward to reading.

The staff across both Amber Court and Violet Court have worked tirelessly over the last few months and have helped to maintain our positive attitudes. The management and office team thank them all for their dedication to the Service Users and Company during this busy time.
